Personal Notes:

I was born in Denver, Colorado, where we lived until the age of three.  My family moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma at that time, and I lived there until I was 19.  It was during those years in Oklahoma that my parents lovingly influenced me in music and singing.  My brothers and I learned to harmonize, singing folk songs and other styles as a family.  I began with the piano, then the coronet, and eventually added guitar and bass guitar as a teen.

My first guitar was under the Christmas tree when I was 14.  I joined my first band, "One Yard Above Ground", that next year (I now lovingly refer to it as "Six Feet Under").  I was soon offered an opportunity to play bass for a band called "Triad" (eventually became "Mineral Well").  How could I ever forget the Midnight Movie gig in Oklahoma City.

I left Oklahoma at the age of 19 and moved to Lubbock, Texas, where I failed to get anything going musically.  It was in Lubbock that I came to believe in Christ and met the love of my life, Carla.  To make a long story short, Carla and I were married in 1981, after having moved to Washington state with a group of friends to start a campus ministry effort at Western Washington University.  I went into the ministry in 1982 and we soon moved to Portland, Oregon to start a campus ministry at Portland State University.  Our son, Austin, was born in Portland in 1985.

We then moved to San Diego, California in 1986.  It was in San Diego that I began to perform with other singers and musicians again.  Our daughter, Aubrey, was born in San Diego in 1988.  We moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1991 to work in the ministry again.  Now I've come full circle - having moved back to Denver in 1998, where I now work for a technology company.  Hey, it's good to be back home again (musical pun intended).

I am currently writing songs for use in personal and group worship.  I'm very happy being "Dad" and Carla's partner in life and faith.  Please contact me anytime.  I would enjoy hearing from you,

God bless you.
